Over 100 years of rivalry

The annual Brawl of the Wild football game is coming, and the Cats will have the home-field advantage this Saturday, Nov. 18. This is the 117th year the Cats will take on the Griz and hopefully they will bring the energy of last year’s 24-17 victory at Missoula. Currently, the Bobcats overall record is 4-6 and 4-3 in the Big Sky Conference compared to the Grizzlies 7-3 overall record and 5-2 conference record. Although the stats are stacked against the Bobcats, this has not slowed them down in the past; for instance, last year’s away game victory as well as wins in 2012 and 2011 can attest to the Bobcat’s underdog determination. Since 2007, fans have nearly doubled in size from 14,000 to 26,182 last year. A large turnout is expected in Bozeman this Saturday to witness yet another historic battle for the best football team in Montana.
