Question: What or who first got you into football?

Mac Bignell: Playing with my family at a young age, I fell in love with it.

Q: What does being a Bobcat mean to you?

MB: It means I accomplished my lifetime goal. It really means the world to me. It’s a great honor to be a Cat and play for such a great university.

Q: What’s your favorite memory as a Bobcat?

MB: The interception touchdown against Idaho State this year, or the big hit I had against Fort Lewis [2015].

Q: What does MSU’s football program mean to you?

MB: It means a lot to me. It’s always been my dream to play football here. I have learned a lot.

Q: What’s your pre-game routine?

MB: I chew three pieces of gum, then go out to the field 15 minutes before the team to stretch by myself and focus on the game.

Q: What’s your favorite uniform combinations?

MB: The throwback ones we wore 3 years ago, they were the same jerseys my Dad wore when he played here. Also, the gold uniforms and white helmets worn at Gold Rush.

Q: What are you going to miss most about football?

MB: All my friends, teammates, coaches and playing for the Cats.

Q: What football player(s) do you look up to?

MB: My cousins, Clay and Brian, and my brothers, Nate and Parker.

Q: What’s the best advice you’ve received from a coach?

MB: Keep your head out of the tackle.

Q: What advice would you give to younger players?

MB: Stick with it and great things happen.

Q: What’s your favorite pre-game meal?

MB: A [home-cooked] steak.

Q: What’s your favorite activity outside of football?

MB: Hunting and fishing.

Q: What do you hope to do after college?

MB: I’m undecided

Q: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

MB: A wolf. They are team-oriented and work together. They’re also the top of the food chain.

Q: If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?

MB: Be able to fly.

Q: What’s your motto?

MB: “Keep on keepin’ on.”
