The Bobcat’s Men’s Tennis Team travelled to Provo, Utah on Oct. 18 to compete in the four-day Mountain Regional Men’s Tennis Tournament. The Bobcats had players competing in both the singles and doubles portions of the competition. Unfortunately, none of the men’s singles players were able to advance past the first round. As for the doubles tournament, the duo of freshman Kasper Parlklo and junior Adrian Torrico won their first match eight sets to two against a Utah State doubles team. Sophomore Alexander Flink and junior Rok Sitar were also able to pick up a win, eight sets to seven, against a BYU doubles team. Sadly, both teams lost in their next round of play. In the consolation doubles bracket, Montana State’s freshman Creel Smith and freshman Joaquim Espinoza put together a notable run, winning three straight matches before losing to a team from Northern Arizona, who ultimately went on to win the consolation bracket. The men’s tennis team will travel to the Gonzaga Invitational on Oct. 27.
