Bobcat basketball improves record, wins three games at home

The Bobcat Men’s Basketball team has been hard at work the past few weeks with four games, three of them at home. The team took on James Madison University, Delaware State University and Arizona Christian University at home and travelled to Houston, Texas to compete against Rice University.

The team looked to remain undefeated at home against James Madison University on Nov. 18 at the Worthington Arena. The Bobcats, once again led by sophomore Tyler Hall, won 80-73. Hall finished the game with 24 points, and two assists. Other team leaders were freshman Harald Frey and senior Quinton Everett who scored 14 and 9 points, respectively.

After a 78-83 loss to Rice on Nov. 21, the Cats traveled back to Bozeman to take on Delaware State on Nov. 26. Frey led the team with 19 points in the 91-66 win against the Hornets. Frey, Everett, junior Zach Green, sophomore Sam Neumann and junior Joe Mvuezolo Jr. all scored double-digits in the high-scoring victory.

While still undefeated at home and a record of 6-2, the Bobcats competed against Arizona Christian on Nov. 28. The Cats won 93-73. The team’s next game will take place Dec. 1 in Salt Lake City, Utah against the University of Utah. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. Live audio and video for the game can be found at msubobcats.com.
