Golf starts season with room to improve

The Montana State women’s golf team teed off the season in Utah for the Hobble Creek Classic earlier this week. The Cats finished ninth out of the field of 16. Sophomore Jaylee Tait led the Bobcats and finished the tournament with a solid 17th-place showing. Junior Janelle Reali finished tied for 28th as MSU’s second highest placer. The University of Hawaii won the tournament by eight strokes with a 36-hole total of 583. The Bobcats will continue their season on Sept. 21 at the Cougar Cup hosted by Washington State University.
