Last Saturday, the MSU Badgers fell to the Idaho State Bengals 22-7. Idaho State was the first to score a try, then missed their conversion kick. MSU quickly followed up with a try of their own by freshman Jessie Calder. Senior Josh Liebers then added two points with a conversion kick. The Badgers played hard throughout the second half, but were unable to score again.

The Badgers are a Division II College Rugby club that had their first competitive season in the spring of 2012. The team beat Gonzaga and Utah State in mid-January and are currently 5 – 3 for the season. The Badgers’ losses came from Washington State, University of Montana and Idaho State. The Badgers will now travel to North Dakota for a tournament on April 13 where they will compete against NDSU, UND, SDSU and some smaller universities.
