MSU runners repeat history

The Cat-Griz rivalry was alive and well this past weekend when the UM hosted the Montana Invitational. The Bobcats took first place out of the four teams in both the men’s and women’s competitions, while the Grizzlies took third in the women’s competition and second in the men’s.

The women did well individually, with junior Heather Demorest taking first in the scoring competition and second overall. Unattached runner Kara Dewalt took first overall. MSU’s top seven women placed in the top 15.

On the men’s side, the Cats took the top seven spots, with Cristian Soratos taking first overall.

Up next for the Bobcats is the Pre-National Invitational in Louisville, Ky. on Oct. 13.
