What is the best part of playing point guard?
The best part of playing point guard is having the most pressure on you.

When and why did you start playing?
I’ve been playing since I was eight, and I started because it was too hot outside for football.

What is your favorite thing about basketball and why?
My favorite thing about basketball is the friendships you form, because you get to know people a lot better than you normally would.

Why did you come to MSU?
I like the outdoors and I feel like we can do something special, like win the conference championship.

What do you do to prepare before a game?
To prepare for a game, I get to the gym around four, start shooting for about two hours, and then go to the locker room and listen to Coach.

Do you plan to continue competing in basketball in the future?
I hope to. After college I’d like to play overseas.

What do you think is the key to your success as a student-athlete?
The key to my success is staying focused on both schoolwork and basketball.

Have you received any awards while playing basketball?
I was the Most Improved Player last year, the 5A Player of the Year in Houston and I made the All-State team in high school.

What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I like to fish and play video games.

What is your favorite class at MSU and why?
I like Bowling Fundamentals, because it helps me unwind.

What would you like to tell students/readers about MSU basketball?
Despite what they’ve heard, we have a great group of guys that are striving for excellence.
