It is with great pleasure that we write to inform the students of Montana State
University about an incredible opportunity to volunteer and travel overseas with
International Student Volunteers (“ISV”) during the summer of 2015.
ISV is a nonprofit organization with over 30 years of student travel experience. Over
310 universities worldwide have given thousands of ISV students academic or
internship credit for participating on an ISV program, including Montana State
University. The U.S. Center for Citizen Diplomacy, in conjunction with the U.S. State
Department, recently selected ISV as one of the top 10 volunteer organizations in
the world. ISV has accomplished nearly three million hours of volunteer work on six
continents with students from over 800 universities worldwide.
Our programs offer incredible opportunities to travel abroad to places like Australia,
New Zealand, South Africa, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, and Costa Rica for
one month in the summer. The first two weeks is a volunteer work project where
students can volunteer in either social community development programs, working
with underprivileged children and families. We do things like basic educational
programs, build schools and houses and do basic pre-med projects. Or, students
can work in conservation, working in environmental areas like rainforest regeneration
or endangered species management with sea turtles, the Kiwi bird of New Zealand,
elephants, and cheetahs.
During the second two weeks, students participate in exciting adventure programs
where you travel extensively in your host country, meeting the local people while
participating in exciting adventure activities like bungy jumping, cave exploring,
glacier climbing, zip lining, white water rafting and more!
We also provide students with the tools to raise the cost of their program through
sponsorship donations from the local community.
Students may come learn more at one of our information meetings today!
