On Saturday, Sept. 9, the MSU Office of Student Engagement will be hosting the first Service Saturday of the semester. Typically taking place the first Saturday of every month, Service Saturdays give students the opportunity to get involved with the greater Bozeman community by engaging in service projects around the area. Projects available for Sept. 9 include working with Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, Children’s Museum of Bozeman, Custer Gallatin National Forest and Bridgercare, among other organizations and around campus.
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. near the Roberts Oval on the Centennial Mall and the event lasts from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Slots for projects are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so participants are encouraged to arrive early. All participants receive a t-shirt, as well as refreshments and a Bobcat Football Homecoming game ticket loaded onto their cat card.
