Parking garage opens on campus

Featuring 550 parking spaces, the first parking garage on campus is now open to students, faculty and visitors of Montana State. Just south of the SUB, and west of the future location of the Norm Asbjornson Innovation Center, the garage, which has both hourly and permit spaces, opened on Monday, Jan. 9.

The entire first floor is hourly parking, as well as the ramp to the second floor and about two thirds of the second floor. Delineated by white stripes, parking in these spaces costs $3.50 for the first hour and $1.50 for each additional hour. Hourly payment is required between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. The remainder of the second floor and the third and fourth floors will be designated for G permit parking.

After the loss of parking spaces due to the construction of the Norm Asbjornson Innovation Center, the new parking garage represents a 150 parking space net gain.

MSU’s first parking garage officially opened January 9th, 2017.
