Microsoft Office 365 offered free to students

MSU has begun offering Microsoft Office 365 to all students for the 2015-2016 academic year. This is the first time MSU has offered such extensive access to Microsoft Office for all students

This service will allow students formerly unable to access the commonly used software found in Microsoft Office to do so at no cost. For comparison, Microsoft Office Home retails for $99.99 per year. The student subscription will not only include the popular programs like Word, but also allows for full usage of other programs such as Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and OneNote.

Students who are currently using open-source software such as Google Drive, LibreOffice and others will benefit from the support that comes with a paid subscription without actually paying for the service. Those interested in installing Microsoft Office on their computers should visit for instructions.
