Community nominates good neighbors

This year, the City of Bozeman and the Good Neighbor Committee will be celebrating National Good Neighbor Day with the first annual Good Neighbor Awards. The celebration will recognize Bozeman residents “making exceptional contributions to improve the quality of life in the Bozeman community.” National Good Neighbor Day was started in the early 1970s by a Lakeside, Mont. resident and officially recognized in 2003 by a resolution sponsored by Sen. Max Baucus. Nominations for the awards will be accepted at www.bozeman.net/neighborhoods through Sept. 11, with a ceremony at Story Mansion on Sept. 26.
