On April 12 and 13, MSU held the annual American Indian Council Powwow in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. Tribal members from around the Northwest attended the event to participate in the festivities including a basketball tournament and princess competition. Vendors sold everything from traditional clothing and jewelry to tools and art. The venue’s center space was reserved for the various dance and drumming competitions, which could be heard throughout the Fieldhouse. MSU’s powwow, which is in its 38th year, is one of the largest in Montana.
