Lecture to discuss oil industry best practices

A Finnish fisheries science professor, Sakari Kuikka, will lecture on “The Role of Science in Creating Best Practices for Oil Industry Activities: Modeling of Unseen Impacts.” Kuikka, a faculty member at the University of Helsinki’s Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences, will discuss the role of mathematical models in assessing and analyzing risk.

The lecture, part of MSU’s Mathematical Sciences Colloquium Series, will be held at 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 in the SUB’s Procrastinator Theater.
