Events Slated for Earth Week

The Gallatin Earth Celebration will spend April 16-22 inspiring environmental stewardship through its work with community members.  

The week-long Earth Day celebration, which focuses on education, outreach and service, is a partnership between MSU, the city of Bozeman, local businesses and organizations, and independent citizens. Events are as follows:

  • Mon. April 16:  SUB solar panel unveiling; 2 – 3 p.m.
  • Tues. April 17:  Local Food Fair and Symposium, SUB Ballrooms; 12:30 – 7 p.m. | Discussion on the Effects of Climate Change – Dr. Nick Bentley, SUB rm. 233/235; 7 – 9 p.m.
  • Thurs. April 19:  Student Research Celebration, SUB rm. 235; 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Electric Car Showcase, MSU Mall; 2 – 4 p.m. | Bike to the Brewery ($10 covers live music, a beer, and a Bicycle Benefit sticker), SUB to 406 Brewery; 5 p.m.
  • Fri. April 20:  Summit on Sustainability and the Environment, Procrastinator Theatre; 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Bizarre Bike Parade, South entrance of the SUB; 3 p.m.
  • Sat. April 21:  Bozeman Clean Up Day and Sustainability Fair, Bogert Park; 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Get Off Your Glass – Glass Recycling Drive, Gallatin County Fairgrounds; 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | E-Waste Collection, Gallatin County Fairgrounds; 9 a.m. – 4 a.m.
  • Sun. April 22: iMatter March – Climate Change Rally, Gallatin County Courthouse (311 W Main); 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. | The Spirit of Earth Day, The Museum of the Rockies; 1 – 5:30 p.m.
  • TBD: REHAU Montana Ecosmart House Project Open House
